Some of the things that have been going through my mind in these last few months...
Life: I am a Christian. Just to get this out in the open, in case you were not aware. Life... I believe true life is living the life we were given by God and enjoying it with those we love and serving Jesus as we live it.
Purpose: The actually purpose of this life God has given us... I believe God created me to share with others what Jesus did for us on the cross and to encourage others to share it as well. The Christian
Salvation: I believe I am only saved by the grace of God through having faith in Jesus because of what He did for me when He died on the cross and paid the price for my sins. I believe He was dead and buried and rose to life on the third day and one day He will return for us.
Family: My family is amazing and I am blown away at the love and support we give each other. My wife has loved me for over 24 years and I have loved her. Our children are incredible in how they show they love us and have very tender hearts for others. I love them so very much. It is truly amazing what I have in my heart for them,
Church: The church, the body of Christ, not the building made of brick and mortar. The church is the bride of Christ. Jesus will return for His bride. I love the church, even with its problems and the hurts that accompany it. Jesus died for it. And we hurt Him immensely.
Friends: My father once told me that most men don't have friends. Most men have acquaintances. I now understand what he meant so many years ago. But I have been blessed to be able to say that I truly have friends. I have friends from my teenage years, young adulthood, and from each church where I have served. I want to say thank you to my true friends. The ones who have loved me even when it was hard to do so. I hope I have loved you when you most needed it and I hope I did it well. My best friend would without a doubt, be my brother Jeff. No explanation needed.
Discipleship: I believe we are each given the task to share with others about Jesus and to teach them how to be more like Him. Discipleship is a huge deal to me because without being taught about Jesus, we can not live the life we are called to live with the purpose we were called to achieve.
Death: The Bible says that we are each appointed a time to die. When we die, it will be sad for those we leave behind, but for the one that trust Jesus to save them from their sins, it will be a glorious walk from time into eternity.
